Dai - Sushi & Asian Fusion in Nuremberg

The sushi is simply excellent. But, be prepared to wait for at least 2 hours for your order (probably an extra 30 as they have no process in place for tracking orders) and to battle unruly customers that will be waiting outside in line in the cold for their meal. Additionally, the service is limited and lousy with little effort to help out customers and frequent rudeness. They have their own way of doing things and aren’t about to invest in any efforts to improve the customer experience. Unfortunately, there aren’t many other options in the area to get this place to stop resting on their laurels.

Simply THE BEST! If there was ever an Alex groupie, it would be me! Fresh, inventive and just so nice! Order early if you don’t want to wait online. But if you have to, trust me, it’s worth it!

Great sushi

We like a lot eating out. Yesterday we found this superb restaurant which we didn’t know before. We had a delightful time there with fine cooking and an experienced team and an impressive cuisine. We put this place in our list and we shall surely return very soon. We deeply recommend.

One of the best Japanese restaurants in Westchester

Great atmosphere Incredible food.

So far the best sushi and Ramen we had try since we moved to this area, the fish was fresh and melted in our mouths and every selection we had was very tasty, the softshell crab was good as well, the Ramen was also pretty good and its flavors felt very clean and not over powering, again we had to pay for the green tea $2, I guess I'm used to get it on the house but so far every restaurant on this area of Pleasantville+Chappaqua+Thornwood charges you for it except for spoon in Chappaqua. The restaurant is small, but very clean We will definitely come back for more sushi.

I don't know what to tell you. This is what be of the best sushi places I have ever been too. Their miso soup has a smoked flavor to it. It's the best miso.

Extraordinarily great Japanese food! The sushi and sashimi are both beautiful and delicious. The ramen bowls are perfect to dispel the chill of winter. Highly recommended!

I celebrated my nomination today in this excellent restaurant. Well it was a brilliant evening and the restaurant was indeed one of the reasons for the outstanding evening. The stuff contributed in a pleasant way, the food was great and my guests were very pleased. We shall surely return for more events. thanks very much.

Service is terrible. English is so bad they kept messing up the order and gave us a hard time when we had them fix our order(mistakes included alergies we told them twice about) . Service was also so slow, Had to ask 3 times for drink. Would not return.

Our office is located close by, so we come to Dai once every month or two. Staff is always very nice but the food here is amazing. Quality is amazing. Presentation is amazing. The sushi is always really fresh and tasteful. The restaurant itself is always clean and is very spacious for a small place. Definitely recommend.

This is NYC quality available in Westchester. If this place was in NYC, it would get 4 stars.

Parking can be a bit difficult, but the food is nice here. There is additional seating on the second floor, which I thought was better because it's quieter up there. The sashimi was top notch.

Fish tasted fresh, especially the sashimi. Little disappointed they were out of toro, but everything I tried was good. Service was good, definitely would go back.

This was our first time here. Sushi was really good. Had a couple of special rolls- shaggy roll and a pink roll. Both were excellent. Service was good. Place gets crowded. Will be back soon.

They have the best sushi and edamame I have ever had, and I eat a lot of sushi! The plum wine is also a nice addition to a meal. My mouth waters just thinking about it. Yum!!!

Fabulous sushi! Ambience could be better but if that's not what you're looking for in your dining experience, go for the food alone, it's spot on! I've gone for dinner and lunch. For my 6 year old who doesn't like sushi, we got the chicken teriyaki dinner equivalent (I don't have menu in front of me for exact name) and she went crazy for it, very flavorful. We will be back!

Stopped here for a quick bite based on ratings. Needless to say, this restaurant didn’t disappoint on taste, presentation, or service. I can’t speak on the cooked dishes, but the sushi was outstanding. The green tea ice cream was amazing also. Give it a try!

Warning- Allergy dangerous!!! We explained 3 times that we have a severe Sesame allergy & need all the food sesame free. We asked for ingredient lists & to be alerted if anything was unsafe. We were told the Ramen was safe but immediately my son had a reaction. When we asked for the ingredients to take to the hospital they were evasive. We insisted on knowing & they admitted there was sesame paste, saying sorry. Not good enough. An epi pen isn’t gauranteed effective. We gave him the epi, and now he is in the hospital on an IV. They didn’t even ask for our info to check in. They charged us for the meal & sent us to the hospital. Crazy. My son could die. We told them that. They should be out of business as they neglect the safety of their patrons- and worse- put them in harms way.

Best place I've been to in Westchester. O-toro was the best I've had, and urchin tastes like it was just picked out of ocean. Used to go to a different sushi place that was in the same building 10 years ago.

Excellent food and great service

Small but nice and cozy japanese restaurant. We came for dinner to celebrate my dad’s birthday. We made a reservation for 6 people at 7:00 and we were seated right away, despite being a busy time. They were also so generous to give us complimentary fried ice cream for my dad’s birthday. Soft shell lobster appetizer was a hit! I recommend getting it.

Expected place to be crowded night before a holiday - we waited - were asked to move - our order was forgotten and only one order was served. After repeated reminders we cancelled our sushi and left. Poor service, poor management, what we tasted wasn’t worth any of the inconvenience we experienced.
